What is the Energy Efficiency Short Course?
EECCHI holds regular monthly "Energy Efficiency Short Course" which aims to increase public awareness and understanding about energy efficiency through a fun way. We believe people learn more through engagement and interaction, which is why the Energy Efficiency Short Course has been designed to be fun.
Why do we need to know about energy efficiency?
The general public and household sector in Indonesia consume more than 11% of electricity. With the predicted increase of 7% per year in electricity use in Indonesia, it is urgent for us to start using energy more efficiently. The oppportunity to save cost is also significant for households because a reduction in utility bills means more money can be allocated to other expenses such as health and education.
What will I learn from the Energy Efficiency Short Course?
The course focuses on two aspects of energy efficiency: upgrade of technology and behavior change. We usually start with an introduction to the energy condition in Indonesia and what we mean by "energy efficiency." We continue with more explanation how to implement energy efficiency every day. Aside from presentations, there will also be games, simulation, quizzes and of course prizes for the other sessions.
Who can join the Energy Efficiency Short Course?
This course is open for everyone.
When is the course held? And Where?
We hold the course once per month, based on your request. We are flexible. The course can
be held at your institution or at the EECCHI Low Energy Office.
How can I join?
Gather at least 20 people from your institution who are interested to learn more about energy efficiency. Download and fill in the Request Form and send it to info.eecchi@gmail.com or eecchindonesia@gmail.com. We will contact you back to arrange the schedules and logistics.
Is this free?
Yes. But we will kindly ask you to cover the transportation cost for the trainers from EECCHI. We will also consult with you regarding provision of food and beverage during the course. EECCHI will provide all the materials, some goodie bags and merchandises.
