This will reduce the heat that comes into the house especially in daytime. By installing more windows, natural light can be utilized to the maximum extent in order to save on the use of artificial lights.
There should not be any gaps or vacuums between the walls, window seals or doors in order to keep away warm air from entering the house; this will also help lighten the load on the air conditioning system. Higher ceilings will provide a more effective ventilation system that also reduces load on air conditioning.
